TanaForts roll past North Warren, 20-8

By Keith Harrington

It was a pretty quiet week for the Hartford-Fort Edward softball team, but they took advantage of their one opportunity to hit the diamond.

Raeghan Liebig led the way at the plate and in the circle as Hartford-Fort Edward cruised past North Warren 20-8 in an Adirondack League crossover game played on the Cougars’ home field in Chestertown. It was the third time Hartford-Fort Edward topped North Warren this season.

Liebig earned the win in the circle, scattering eight hits and striking out nine. She was also 5 for 5 at the plate with two doubles and five RBIs.

Cassie Wade was 3 for 4 with a double for Hartford-Fort Edward. Soleia Lamoreux also doubled.

Ruth Brior was 2 for 3 for the Cougars.

The TanaForts now wait to see where they will be seeded in the sectional playoffs.

Hartford-Fort Edward is now 4-8.
