Granville senior Hannah Ingleston was sworn into the U.S. Navy on May 5 on the softball field at the Ken Burch complex after the Granville Golden Horde softball team won their “senior night” game.

Coach Frank Hunt, a retired member of the U.S. Navy with a total of 30 years of experience, was proud of the representatives of the Navy Talent Acquisition Group of New England and Naval Nuclear Power Training Unit’s (NPTU) showing of support in a unique ceremony with all of his players donning U.S. Navy ballcaps that he had collected from the different commands he served at.

“I just thought it was a really good thing for the Navy Recruiting Command to come and celebrate with Hannah and her friends with the support of her family and school,” Hunt said.
