A motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles resulted in a 53-year-old Granville woman being hospitalized.

Shirley B. Kunen was transported to Glens Falls Hospital by ambulance for non-life threatening injuries after her vehicle was struck by Ray G. Baker, 36, of Clifton Park, around a sharp turn at the intersection of State Route 149 and County Road 27 in Granville on Oct. 6 at 4:30 p.m.

State Police said Baker’s 2017 silver Jeep crossed over the center line and collided with Kunen’s 2012 white Mercedes Benz.

A Granville Rescue Squad ambulance leaves the scene of the accident.

“No arrest or tickets issued,” State Police said.

Baker’s vehicle eventually halted upon striking a guardrail in front of a residence after losing the driver’s side front tire.

Granville Engine & Hose Company #1 deputy chief Mike Zinn said Kunen was “conscious and alert” and he “ventured to say yes” that both vehicles were totaled.

Baker suffered a laceration to his leg.
