Hartford volleyball still unbeaten

The Hartford volleyball team remained unbeaten in Adirondack League play with a 3-0 sweep over Hadley-Luzerne last Friday.
Set scores were 25-14, 26-24, and 25-13.
The Tanagers are tied with Lake George on top of the league but have not played the Warriors yet. Argyle sits behind Hartford and Lake George with just one league loss.
Karlee Nims led the Tanagers with 13 kills and four aces. Soleia Lamoureux added three aces and three digs.
Lindsey Grey had five service points and two kills for the Eagles. Riley Daniels had six service points, four assists and three digs.
Hartford is 5-0, 6-0. Hadley-Luzerne is 2-3, 2-4.
Tanagers lose to Fort Ann, 3-2

A three-goal deficit hampered Hartford’s boys soccer team a chance to hand rival Fort Ann its first league loss of the season. The Tanagers’ late rally last Monday, Sept. 20, came up just a little short as they fell to the Cardinals 3-2 in an Adirondack League contest
Fort Ann led 3-0 in the second half before the Tanagers scored twice to narrow the gap.
Fort Ann took a 1-0 lead into the halftime break after a shot was knocked in by a Hartford player, resulting in an own goal.
Ryan Blondin made it 2-0 Cardinals with 37:08 to play. Tyler Winchell scored just under six minutes later to extend the lead to 3-0 and Fort Ann looked to be in complete control.
Two late Hartford goals made it interesting. Logan Reynolds scored with 4:11 to go off an assist from Drake Stewart. Just 20 seconds later Cody Baker hit the back of the net to cut the deficit to 3-2.
Dylan Brown stopped five shots for Fort Ann. Austin Wells recorded five saves for Hartford.
Fort Ann is 4-0. Hartford is 1-3.
Hartford got back on the winning side of things rolling over Corinth 6-1 Wednesday, Sept. 22, in league play.
Likely riding the momentum of its rally against Fort Ann, Hartford raced out to a 4-0 lead at halftime and were never challenged.
Nate Fiske scored a pair of first-half goals for the Tanagers. Mike Jones and Reynolds also found the back of the net in the opening 40 minutes. Jones assisted on the Reynolds goal.
Stewart and James Lavin scored second half goals for Hartford. Reynolds assisted on Stewart’s goal.
M.J. Sprague scored for Corinth.
Wells had 12 saves for Hartford. Owen Baker stopped 14 shots for the Tomahawks.
Hartford is now 2-3, 2-3. Corinth is 0-6, 0-8.
