Lorraine M. Kelly, 83, of New Britain, Connecticut, a former resident of Pawlet, Vermont, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 1, 2021.
Lorraine was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Shirley (Corey) Gould. She went to Granville High School. Lorraine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She had a long 29-year career with the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services. Lorraine enjoyed spending her winters in Winter Haven, Florida, with her husband.
Lorraine is survived by her daughter Lori Kelly Fleming of Marshall, North Carolina, and her husband Gary and Lori’s daughter Sarah Arthur; her son Edward and his wife Mary Anne of Norwalk, Connecticut, and children Stephen and Antoinette (Michael); her son Jeffrey and his wife Doreen of Pawlet and children Brianna, Catie, Jeffrey (Clarissa) and adopted daughter Lisa; her siblings Clarence Gould (Shirley), Sherwood Gould (Benilda) and Karleen Allen; her sisters-in-law Linda and Virginia Gould; and her brother-in-law James Kelly and his wife Rhoda of South Glens Falls, New York. In addition, she is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Edward Kelly, Sr., her brothers Lawrence Gould and Glen Gould and her brothers-in-law Martin Kelly and Chris Allen.
There will be a private graveside service Saturday, May 15, at 11:30 a.m. at the Mettowee Valley Cemetery in Pawlet. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lorraine’s name may be made to the Connecticut Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org/ct.
