In what has become a fun annual tradition, according to a press release from the park, colorful plastic eggs filled with dog treats courtesy of Ballston Spa’s Lazy Dog Cookie Company will be hidden throughout Hudson Crossing Park’s grounds.
The day will provide both dogs and their owners a great opportunity to go outside, enjoy some fresh air and have fun together.
The Easter egg hunt is open to the public and their pups during regular park hours on Saturday and Sunday, April 3 and 4, while the Easter eggs last.
Park volunteers/egg bunnies will visit the park throughout the day to hide eggs to try to ensure that all visiting pups have the chance to join the fun.
There also will be personalized dog-tag making on site each day from 1 to 3 p.m. for a $5 donation to the park.
Hudson Crossing Park volunteers will be observing CDC guidelines and wearing gloves and masks while handling eggs. Visitors are asked to please take the eggs they find home with them and dispose of them responsibly, as well as to respect fellow dogs and owners and local leash laws. Social distancing guidelines must be observed at all times.
A suggested donation of $10 per dog for the egg hunt can be made at www.hudsoncrossingpark.org. Feel free to give extra for those who can’t! All proceeds benefit Hudson Crossing Park. Event sponsors are Lazy Dog Cookie Company, Homestead Animal Hospital and the Schuylerville Chamber of Commerce.
