Local talent, homegrown impact – Meet NYVT Media office assistant Georgeanne Hall

We invite you to get to know a little more about the employees of NYVT Media each month through an informal Q&A. This month we asked office assistant Georgeanne Hall to tell us about herself.

Georgeanne Hall

What’s your job title? Office assistant.

What does a typical work day look like for you? Post office and bank run, working on zoning for inserts.

Who inspires you? My mom inspired me. She was without a doubt the smartest, strongest woman and center of her family. She would do anything for anyone to the best of her ability, and was a sounding board to all five of her children. She was loved and is missed by so many!

How would your friends describe you? Hardworking, sincere, goofy, great bartender, an even better cook, best at baking (I like to eat and drink can you tell?).

What motivates you in work and in life? My hubby (and kiddos). We have set goals in life to be good role models for our children, enjoy life while working hard.

What three items would you take with you on a desert island? My favorite pillow, Kindle and a solar charger.

Which historical figure would you most like to meet? This is the hardest question of the survey. I would like to meet any of the mothers of a number of famous people – did they know when their child was growing up that he or she would change the course of history?

What’s the best place you’ve traveled to? I have travelled to Bermuda by cruise ship twice in my life so far. It is on my list to do again – loved the whole cruise experience and having a floating hotel while we toured the islands on our rented motorbike.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? Little kids, little problems; Big kids, big problems.

Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies? I enjoy playing bartender when hanging out by the pool and hosting get-togethers. Can’t wait for that life to come back once we get the all-clear from COVID!
