Power restored in Granville

Power restored in Granville

BREAKING: According to New York State Electric and Gas (NYSEG) via Mayor Paul Labas, as of 8:46 p.m., power has been restored in the town and village of Granville.

From NYSEG: “Everyone is back in service. We lost the feed from (National) Grid and typically the substation would have switched automatically to another feed, this time it didn’t. So the substation crew had to manually switch. They (substation crew) will be investigating why it did not automatically flip.”

Labas said via phone that the side of Church Street and where Telescope Casual Furniture Inc. is all had power.

Any further questions on the situation can be directed to NYSEG’s automated phone line at 800-600-2275.
