This is Manchester Wood’s “official” last week of business. Its last day is set for Sunday, Sept. 16.

Since the Granville business announced its closing about two months ago, company officials have remained mum with the media – declining to confirm a closing date, status of employees or the manufacturing plant.

Company officials have, though, posted occasional updates on the Manchester Wood Facebook page.

“It’s now official that Manchester Wood is closing after this week,” wrote company president Ed Eriksen in a social media post Monday.

The post noted: “Last website orders and sale end 9/16!”

Company officials did not initially offer a reason for its closure, but it posted the following explanation online Aug. 29:
