Whitehall lost a key match to Hadley-Luzerne Monday to fall behind the Eagles in the league standings.
Hadley narrowly edged Whitehall 3-2 at Bend of the River Golf Club in Hadley.
The Eagles top three golfers led the way winning their matches.
Scott Broekhuizen earned medalist honors by shooting a 41 in a 2-1 win over Robby Pereau.
Matt Waterhouse defeated Cullen Flynn by an identical 2-1 score and Cody Carpenter edged Chris Talbert 1-up.
Whitehall nearly rallied for the win with Chad Amerio and Garrett Stevens picking up 3-1 and 2-1 wins respectively.
The loss broke a 3-1 tie between Whitehall and Hadley. The Eagles improve to 4-1 on the season while Whitehall is 3-2.
The Railroaders fared better last week in match versus North Warren, going a perfect 5-0 on the day.
“Our top three golfers (Pereau, Flynn and Talbert) all shot Sectional scores,” head coach Keith Redmond said.
Flynn shot a 41 to earn medalist honors in a 4-and-2 win over Riley May. Pereau dispatched Jared Howe 3-and-1 and Talbert defeated Brett Lail 5-and-4.
Chad Amerio won his match versus Grant Mundrick 5-and-4. John Hollister and Logan LaChapelle each picked up a win via forfeit.
The Railroaders face Lake George tomorrow before wrapping up the regular season against Fort Edward and Fort Ann next Monday and Wednesday.
The Adirondack League Tournament will be played on Sept. 27 at Cronin’s Resort and Golf Course in Warrensburg.
