Skeeter Morse concert Aug. 24

Local musician Skeeter Morse will hold a free “Concert in the Park” from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, at Granville’s Veterans Park. The focus will be on the music of the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s.

The special guest will be Marty Wendell and His Tour Band. Wendell, a member of the Rockabilly Hall of Fame, has been on stage with Arlo Guthrie, Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash. His concerts include rockabilly classics and some original tunes. His shows are family-oriented and fun for all.

Andy Munger, a singer-songwriter who evokes memories of Neil Young, is also on the bill.

Morse, who plays music from the ’50s and ’60s with a Beach Boys style, has been recording since 1996. He has produced a variety of local shows at the Little Theater on the Farm in Fort Edward.
