Baseball Awards: Troy Nichols received the Coach’s Award and Brett Christian was named the team’s most valuable player.
Boys Academic Track Team: The boys track team was recognized as a scholar athlete team. The team compiled a cumulative grade point average of 90.5
Girls Academic Track Team: The girls track team was recognized as a scholar athlete team. The team compiled a cumulative grade point average of 91.8.
Overall Year Athlete Awards: Zach Diekel and Marion Gendron were named the male and female athletes of the year. Troy Nichols and Maggie Benjamin each received the Sportsmanship Award.
Softball Academic Team: The girl’s softball team was recognized as a scholar athlete team. The team compiled a grade point average of 91.7.
Softball awards winners: Ariel Ayers was recognized as the softball team’s defensive most valuable player. Victoria Christian received the Outstanding Athlete award and was named to the Adirondack League All-East Division team. Brittney Putorti received the Outstanding Athlete award and was named an All-Adirondack Team all-star. Jackie Raino received the Coach’s Award and Adirondack League honorable mention. Carli Varmette was named to the Adirondack League All-East Division team.
Tennis Academic Team: The tennis team was recognized as a scholar athlete team. The team compiled a cumulative grade point average of 92.07, the highest of any Whitehall team this spring.
Tennis awards: Head coach Charlie Bascue recognized every member of the tennis team for their hard work and dedication.
Track awards: Zach Diekel was recognized as the boy’s track team’s most valuable player. Dave Rich received the boy’s Jack Smith Award (outstanding athlete), and Marion Gendron received the girl’s most valuable player and Jack Smith Awards. Not pictured: Tyler Sweenor was recognized as the team’s most improved player.
