Rose Marie Cromwell, 91

Rose Marie Cromwell, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully on March 26, 2012, in Glens Falls Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Rose was born on Sept. 5, 1920, in Victoria, Italy, the daughter of Jack and Sadie Drago. She became a naturalized citizen, attended schools in Danbury, CT and worked at several businesses in Danbury as a stock room clerk.
Upon moving to Hebron, NY, with her daughter Elaine and son-in-law Steve, she worked at J & J Lingerie in Granville until she retired. Upon retirement she loved to garden and crochet. She crocheted many blankets for Community Maternity Services, Hospice and Pleasant Valley Infirmary. She was a past member of the Slate Valley Garden Club and a member of St. Mary’s Church in Granville.
Rose was predeceased by her sisters Anna Russo, Josephine Doto, a brother Samuel Drago, and a brother-in-law Ercole Petrucci. She is survived by her sister Mary Jane Petrucci and her brother Philip Drago of Hebron, NY, and her son John Cromwell of California. She will be sadly missed by her loving daughter Elaine Starr and son-in-law Stephen of Hebron, as well as her grandchildren, Timothy (Alison) Starr, Matthew (Jamie) Starr and Rebecca (Devan) Manwarren, and great grandchildren Morgan Starr, Mackenna and Alyssa Starr and Addison Manwarren. In addition she is survived by several nieces and nephews, her friends at Mountainview Commons who were so good to her.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 23 Bulkley Ave. Granville, NY, with the Rev. Joseph X. Arockiasamy.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
