Paul Harmon Epting, Jr., 57

Paul Harmon Epting, Jr., 57, a long time Whitehall resident, lost his battle with cancer on April 1, 2011.

Eptingl was born on June 25, 1953 in Birmingham, Ala.

He worked hard all his life as a laborer, most recently at Commonwealth Plywood in Whitehall and for 12 years at Taran Brothers Slate in Poultney, Vt.  Paul loved life, he enjoyed being surrounded by his friends, playing and cuddling with his two dogs, Tiny and Minnie, singing, dancing, watching sports, adding movies to his massive DVD collection, fishing, gardening and just being outdoors.

Paul is survived by his long time companion, Tina Lee Farrah of Whitehall, his father, Paul H. Epting, Sr. and his wife, Katherine, his mother, Cassie Epting; three sisters, Jacqueline (Paulette) Smith and her husband, Fred, Sandra A. Hapkins and Cassie M. Epting; one brother, Christopher M. Epting; two step siblings, Candace Reese and her husband Ray and Michael Colston and his wife, Susan and several nieces and nephews all of the Birmingham, Alabama area.  Besides his family, Paul has left behind many close friends that loved him dearly and will miss him and his beautiful laughter every day.

There will be no services.

Friends will gather at a later date to celebrate being a part of Paul’s life. R.I.P.  Soul Brother.
