Anna L. Martin DuBeau, 94, of East Montcalm Avenue, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at the Indian River Rehabilitation Center in Granville following a brief illness.
Born on March 25, 1916, in Poultney, Vt., she was the daughter of the late Steve and Laura (Lopez) Luse.
In her early years, she worked at the Champlain Silk Mill and also was a seamstress at the Whitehall Coat Factory.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church in Whitehall.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by husbands, Thomas Martin Sr. and Albert DuBeau, one son, Thomas Martin Jr., one grandson, Michael S. Gordon, and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by three daughters, Rose Gordon and her husband, Les, of Whitehall, Laura Vittum and her husband, Paul, of Winter Garden, Fla., and Lynda Melen and her husband, Jon, of Shrewsbury, Vt.; one daughter-in-law, Lynn (Martin) McKee of Whitehall; two sisters, Jane Eddy of Rutland, Vt., and Carmel Moffitt and her husband, Guy, of Saratoga; one brother, George (Peter) Luse and his wife, Shirley, of Warrensburg; 12 grandchildren, Bernard Gordon and his wife, Helen, Leslie Gordon and his wife, Cassenda, Gary Gordon and his wife, Kerrie, Patty Linehan, Thomas Martin and his wife, Denise, Sheila Durrum and her husband Theron, Robin Manell and her husband, Richard, Laura Aronson and her husband, Jack, Jerry Martin and his companion, Deborah Currier, Julie VanGuilder and her husband, William, Jon Melen and his wife, Dawn, and Jodie Manning and her husband, Ted; several great- grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, June 19, at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church in Whitehall with the Rev. Michael Flannery, pastor, officiating.
Interment followed at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Whitehall. Following interment, there was a time of fellowship and refreshments at Our Lady of Hope Church Hall.
Calling hours were held at the Jillson Funeral Home Inc., 46 Williams St., Whitehall, on Friday, June 18.
