62 Students to graduate

Members of the Whitehall Central School class of 2010 will make their final walk as students this Friday.
The commencement ceremonies for the senior class will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 25, with 62 students expected to receive their high school diplomas that evening.


Carly Nichols will lead the class and audience in the Pledge of Allegiance, which will be followed by the national anthem and Whitehall alma mater.
Members of the senior class who are members of the high school band will also play a musical selection, along with a selection from senior chorus members.
Speeches will be given by class valedictorian Rosa Albert, salutatorian Victoria Diekel and Jody Breault.
High school Principal Kelly McHugh will present the top 10 academic members of the class, while McHugh and School Superintendent James Watson will present various awards and scholarships to the members of the graduating class.
The night will conclude with the presentation of diplomas by Board of Education President James Huntington, followed by the turning of tassels and the recessional.
