John A. Martucci, 92


 

John A. Martucci, 92, of Marjon Avenue, Glenville, died on Friday, March 30, 2007, at the Van Allen Nursing Home in Little Falls.

 

John was born in Whitehall, the son of the late John and Rosina Guido Martucci. After high school, John went on to earn an Associates Degree.

During World War II, John worked at the Watervliet Arsenal. Subsequently he went to work as an assistant business agent for the General Electric Co. in Schenectady, retiring in 1981.

He was a member of the local 301 union and the Knights of Columbus. John was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include his wife, Julia (Martone) Martucci, his daughters, Gail (Lawrence “Wally”) Walraed of Clermont, Fla., and Rosemarie (Robert) Smith of Edgewater, Md., his son, John P. (Joyce) Martucci of Clifton Park; his step daughter, Maria Clemorich of Northville; his grandchildren, Larry Walraed, Thomasine Rushing, Mike and Christopher Martucci; his great grandchildren, Justin Walraed and Mikaila Rushing; his step grandchildren, Carl “CJ” Anthony and Amanda Bush; and his step great grandchildren, Saphire and Trent James Bush.

John was predeceased by his brother, Frank Martucci, and his sister, Caroline Putorti. Several nephews also survive.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 2 p.m. today, April 5, at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd., East Glenville.
